What do I have to do related to hygiene?
- Limit the personal items you bring into the gym.
- Do not use water bottles or street shoes on the pads.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Wash or sanitize your hands before and after climbing or working out.
We will have lots of signs to remind you!
Do we have to practice physical distancing?
(If you need to have a quick drink or snack, please keep 10+ feet from others or step outside.)
We believe this is crucial and have done our best to help make it as easy as possible by creating spacious climbing zones and scattered seating. However, we need your help to actually implement this. Please be aware of others at all times, including climbers in zones next to yours. Thank you!
More information on why physical distancing is important can be found here.
Do I have to use liquid chalk?
We also have sanitizing spray placed throughout the gym for you to use on your hands. You are required to use that or wash your hands before and after you climb or work out.
What is Sequence doing related to sanitization?
- All fabric furniture has been removed.
- Sanitization stations have been added throughout the gym.
- Sequence staff sanitizes the following high touch areas on at least an hourly basis:
- Door handles
- Front desk
- Tables
- Bathrooms
- Sequence staff sanitizes the following at least daily:
- Chairs
- Fitness equipment
- Climbing Holds:
- Holds go through a two-step process of being pressure-washed and then sprayed with an anti-microbial. Due to the unique nature of gyms, holds cannot be cleaned as frequently as other high-touch surfaces. A small section of holds is taken down weekly, but it takes approximately 6 weeks to get through the entire facility. This is one of the reasons why we encourage wearing masks, sanitizing our hands frequently, and avoiding touching our faces.
What about safety for Sequence staff?
YOUTH POLICY
